Diane Nerwen makes experimental videos that use collage and media appropriation to address such topics as cultural identity, politics, reproductive rights and technologies and urban transformation.

She has screened and exhibited her work internationally, including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Guggenheim Museum, NY, the Tate Modern, London, carriage trade, NY, the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival.  Her work has been supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts and Creative Capital Foundation. She was awarded a DAAD Artist in Residence Fellowship in Berlin in 2001. Nerwen was born in Montreal and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
